Spinal Implant Helps Kent Stephenson - Epidural Stimulation

Paralyzed Man Stands on his Wedding Day Following Epidural Stimulation Treatment

An American man who was paralyzed from the chest down after a motocross injury in 2009 has been able to stand up on his wedding day thanks to the epidural stimulation device implanted in his spine.

Kent Stephenson married Misti Richeson on 12th March 2016 and was determined to not let his spinal cord injury prevent him from standing up during the ceremony. The newly married couple were also able to share their first dance together thanks to a specially designed stand that was created by a family friend to help Kent partially prop himself up during the ceremony.
